Realtek drivers

Realtek chips are in nearly every PC: the network controller on the motherboard, the audio codec, the card reader, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in laptops. That makes Realtek drivers the most searched of all - usually right after a Windows reinstall, when sound or internet is gone. Every package here comes from an official source, with version, release date and a SHA-256 checksum.

About Realtek drivers

Two families cover most of the demand. Realtek High Definition Audio is the most widespread audio driver in the world - the catalog holds 234 versions of it, because laptop makers spent years shipping their own builds for specific models. And the RTL8111/8168 gigabit family is the Ethernet controller on most consumer motherboards - its driver is the one you need when a clean Windows install leaves the Ethernet port as an unknown device.

One subtlety matters: on a laptop, the right Realtek driver is often not the universal one but the build released by the laptop maker - Lenovo, Dell and HP tune the package for their hardware. If the device name does not make the chip obvious, open its Hardware ID in Device Manager: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC is a Realtek audio codec, PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168 is the network controller. The catalog search understands these IDs directly.
