How to find your Hardware ID

Press Win + X and choose Device Manager.
Find your device. Problem devices show a yellow warning icon - including Unknown Device.
Right-click it → Properties → Details tab.
In the Property dropdown, choose Hardware Ids.
Right-click the first value → Copy, then paste it into the search above. It looks like PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_85051043 or USB\VID_046D&PID_C52B.

What the parts mean: VEN/VID identifies the chip vendor, DEV/PID the device model, SUBSYS the exact board or laptop implementation. Our search understands full IDs and partial ones (vendor + device).
