Intel drivers

Intel silicon sits in most PCs well beyond the processor: integrated graphics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, chipset, storage controllers. This page collects Intel packages from 2001 to the present, with graphics, chipset and wireless as the largest families - each listing its version, date and supported Windows versions.

About Intel drivers

Two quiet fixers deserve a mention. The chipset driver adds no features - it tells Windows what the motherboard devices actually are, which clears several "unknown device" entries at once after a clean install. Intel Rapid Storage Technology matters on machines that shipped with it: without the RST driver a fresh Windows setup may not even see the disk.

For Wi-Fi and Bluetooth the chip generation decides everything - the Bluetooth 9460/9560 (Jefferson Peak) family alone has 75 versions here. If wireless became flaky right after an update, rolling back to the previous version is a legitimate fix. The Hardware ID (it starts with PCI\VEN_8086 on Intel cards) names the exact adapter when the label does not.
