How to install
Before you start: create a restore point (Start → type "Create a restore point" → Create). It takes a minute and lets you undo everything if the new driver turns out worse than the old one. This driver is made for Windows 11 (64-bit) - if your Windows is different, look for another version further down the page.
This driver comes as a .cab file. Double-clicking it will not install anything - Windows only shows you what is inside. Install it through Device Manager instead:
- Right-click the downloaded file → Extract All → choose a folder you will not lose (the Desktop is fine) → Extract.
- Hold the Windows key and press X, then open Device Manager.
- Find the device that is not working - it usually has a yellow triangle, or sits under "Other devices" with a name like "Network controller".
- Right-click it → Update driver→ "Browse my computer for drivers".
- Click Browse, choose the folder you extracted into, tick Include subfolders, then Next.
- Windows finds the driver in that folder and installs it. Restart the computer afterwards.
If Windows answers "The best drivers for your device are already installed" - that does not mean your driver is fine, only that Windows prefers its own version. In the same window choose "Let me pick from a list of available drivers" → "Have Disk" → Browse → point to the file ending in .inf inside the extracted folder → OK.
Check it worked: open Device Manager again. The device should no longer show a warning icon, and its driver version should match the one on this page.
How to roll back
If the device stops working after the update: Device Manager → right-click the device → Properties → Driver tab → Roll Back Driver. If that button is greyed out, use the restore point you made before installing (Start → "Recovery" → Open System Restore).
